Coleman Furnace & Evcon Air Conditioner Installation – Complete HVAC System Replacement

When an aging heating and cooling system begins losing efficiency, relies on outdated refrigerant, or becomes increasingly unreliable, replacing the entire HVAC system is often the smartest long-term investment. For this project, the homeowner chose Dion's Complete Plumbing, Heating & Cooling to upgrade their home's comfort with a brand-new Coleman high-efficiency gas furnace and Evcon central air conditioning system, replacing an older furnace and obsolete R-22 air conditioner.

Our technicians began by carefully disconnecting and removing the existing HVAC equipment, including the aging furnace and outdoor R-22 air conditioning condenser. Because R-22 refrigerant has been phased out due to environmental regulations and rising service costs, replacing the old cooling system with modern equipment provides improved efficiency, easier maintenance, and greater long-term reliability.

After safely removing the old equipment, we installed a new Coleman gas furnace engineered for dependable heating performance and paired it with a new Evcon outdoor air conditioning condenser to provide reliable cooling throughout the warmer months. The installation included connecting the new furnace to the existing ductwork, gas supply, electrical components, thermostat controls, refrigerant lines, condensate drainage, and outdoor electrical disconnect to ensure seamless system operation.

Once the installation was complete, our technicians performed a comprehensive system startup and inspection. Refrigerant pressures, airflow, electrical components, thermostat operation, gas connections, and overall system performance were thoroughly tested to verify the equipment was operating according to manufacturer specifications. Every component was inspected to ensure safe, efficient, and dependable operation before the project was finalized.

The result is a modern, energy-efficient HVAC system that provides improved indoor comfort, more consistent heating and cooling, enhanced reliability, and greater peace of mind for the homeowner. By upgrading from an older R-22 air conditioning system to today's equipment, the homeowner can expect lower energy consumption, improved comfort, and reduced maintenance costs for years to come.

At Dion's Complete Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, we specialize in complete HVAC system replacements, helping Mid-Michigan homeowners replace outdated heating and cooling equipment with professionally installed, high-performance systems built for Michigan's changing seasons.
