Buying a new house is exciting - until you start discovering what the previous owners left behind. This client called us after a copper pipe completely blew apart at a joint. Not from age, not from pressure. From bad workmanship. A previous plumber cut corners, and it finally gave out.

Here's what we were working with: a crawlspace and wall cavity full of mismatched pipes, sketchy connections, and old gate valves that were well past their useful life. The kind of setup that makes you shake your head. When plumbing gets patched together like that over the years, it's really only a matter of time before something fails.

We came in, repaired the damage, and repiped the affected sections using quality copper throughout. For isolation, we installed Webstone ball valves - these are a significant upgrade over the old gate-style valves that were already in place. Webstone valves give you a clean quarter-turn shutoff, they're built to last, and they make future service work a lot easier. No more struggling with a corroded gate valve when you need to shut water off fast.

The difference between a patch job and doing it right comes down to materials and technique. We're not just fixing the immediate failure - we're making sure the surrounding work is solid too. When we leave a job, it should be better than we found it. Not just functional, but done properly.

If you've moved into a house and you're noticing questionable plumbing - weird connections, valves that barely turn, pipes that look like they were repaired by a handyman with no plan - don't wait for something to blow. We handle general plumbing repair and can assess what's there and tell you straight up what needs attention.
