Visit a museum that’s for everyone

If you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, consider visiting the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History. It’s located in Ann Arbor, which is only about 21 minutes from downtown Brighton and 23 minutes from McHattie Park. The museum contains a lot of cool exhibits that not only teach your kids about nature and science but also help them to learn how to appreciate these things. And all of this is free!

The museum houses skeletons and stuffed specimens of extinct and extant animals—from woolly mammoths to huge dinosaurs assembled from real bones. Your kids will love marveling at them. They can also observe scientists conducting real research and experimentation in a laboratory setting. If they’re interested in biology, this is a great place for them to see what kind of work biologists do and how they go about their work. Shift from large dinosaurs to small cells in understanding the foundations of life—your kids can walk among the smallest components of life enlarged 100,000 times so that you can see them without microscopes! Plus, there are other fun activities like fossil digs, touchable rocks and minerals, interactive science displays, an exhibit about dinosaurs, and more!

Rack your brains at an Escape Room

Escape Room Brighton offers an experience that’s full of adventure and suspense, with challenges that will keep your adrenaline pumping for hours. The Escape Rooms are popular for groups or dates because they can be so much fun, but they’re also great for teams of friends or families looking to do something different.

Escape rooms were made popular by the movie “Saw”. The Saw is about a man who is kidnapped and put into a trap where he must escape or die. Other movies like Cube and Buried have also had scenes of people trying to escape from death traps.

Escape rooms are growing more and more popular because they are challenging, and can be fun with your friends or family. Escape rooms also get you out of the house and out of your comfort zone while still having fun! Some rooms offer more challenging puzzles than others, but if you want to try everything, you should be prepared to commit some time—some rooms are designed to take at least one hour. If you don’t have all day, some can be completed in under 30 minutes. But even if you only have an hour or two on your schedule, that leaves plenty of time for visiting other rooms later!
